Blackstone Parks Gateway

The Blackstone Parks Gateway is a project that aims to address stormwater runoff, greening, and traffic safety at the southern entrance to Blackstone Boulevard, near Lincoln School.

The project is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Narragansett Bay Estuary Program and collaboratively led by the Blackstone Parks Conservancy, Seekonk River Alliance, Groundwork RI, and the City of Providence, with support from consultants, Horsley Witten Group.

On Wednesday, May 31st, from 7 to 9pm, the Blackstone Parks Conservancy, Seekonk River Alliance, and the City of Providence will host a Blackstone Parks Gateway Community Design Open House at Temple Beth-El (70 Orchard Ave, Providence, RI 02906).

At the event, Mayor Brett Smiley and Councilwoman Helen Anthony will provide opening remarks around 7pm, after which community members will have an opportunity to learn about the project and share their input in this early design stage.

We expect to regularly post updates in this webpage as the project develops.
