Shakespeare’s As You Like It

Head Trick Theatre presents:
AS YOU LIKE IT
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Rebecca Maxfield
Fleeing a repressive court, Rosalind and Orlando escape to the Forest of Arden, a magical green world where they can find freedom, love, and (maybe) themselves. “As You Like It” is one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, filled with song and dance, and Head Trick Theatre will be performing it this summer against a living forest backdrop in beautiful Blackstone Park!
Performances 8/14-8-16, 8/21-8/23, and 8/28-8/30. Fri 8pm, Sat & Sun 2pm.  Bring a chair or picnic blanket and enjoy family-friendly Shakespeare in a park.  Outside in Blackstone Field, across from the Narragansett Boat Club (2 River Road, Providence, RI 02906). GPS: 41°49’58.8″N 71°22’40.9″W. Suggested donation $5.
Head Trick Theatre puts on innovative productions of classic plays with a focus on the importance of liveness. Our most recent production was “Tonight We Improvise”, a new translation of Pirandello’s metatheatrical mindscrew. This production is made possible by NEFFA and the Outreach Fund of the Country Dance and Song Society.
