Daffodils and RiverRides: Two Special Events This Weekend

We are delighted to offer two very special events this weekend.

Plant Daffodils, at the Blackstone Boulevard on Friday, November 3, 4:00-6PM.  Following the successful plantings in 2021 and 2022, Boulevard walkers enjoyed hundreds of cheerful springtime blooms.  With support from a generous donor, we are expanding the daffodil project and are again looking for volunteers to help plant bulbs. Meet us on Blackstone Boulevard by Rochambeau Avenue. Please register if you are planning to come, so we can better plan.

RiverRide on the Seekonk, on Sunday, November 5: see Providence and East Providence from a different point of view and learn about the river and the wildlife living on, in and near it. The guide, Greg Gerritt, is a noted urban naturalist, environmental advocate, and wildlife videographer–see his work on the youtube channel Moshassuckcritters.  Boat rides start at 11:00 AM, 11:50 AM, or 12:40 PM. Meet at the Narragansett Boat Club Dock, 2 River Drive (River Road), Providence, RI 02906.  Due to high demand, reservations are required. Priority will be given to members. To access the reservations form please click here.
