Audubon Society of Rhode Island and Blackstone Parks Conservancy are working together to protect the Blackstone Park’s natural resources, and we need your help.
Full of natural beauty, the historic Blackstone Park and surrounding neighborhoods provide critical habitat for many wildlife species. But a dangerous class of pesticides, called neonicotinoids, are sprayed on many nursery plants and destroys pollinator populations at alarming rates.
Please join us on July 22 for a program by Dr. Charles Clarkson, Director of the RI Audubon Avian Research Initiative, on protecting nature in the Conservation District. Hear about research being done to protect wildlife, and learn how you can support native pollinators and healthy ecosystems by being mindful of the lawn care products and practices used in your yard. Bring your neighbors and your questions!
