Herbal Walk

On Saturday, September 19, a curious group of explorers took a walk in Blackstone Park, where they found medicine growing wild in the park. Led by herbalist Ava Long, adjunct professor at the Boston School of Herbal Studies, the walkers focused on Blackstone Field where they found medicinals that included Goldenrod, Elderberry and Mugwort (see photo). The walkers also participated in a guided botanical drawing session led by Wendy Fachon. For everyone, it was a step towards learning to identify local medicinal plants and capture them on paper.  To learn more, listen to these two podcasts—click here and here.
