Hunter’s Moon at Blackstone Park

Music and astronomy were the stars at Sunday’s MoonRise on the Seekonk celebration. The Crepuscular Cowboys played an array folk, rock, country, and blues that had an appreciative audience dancing (or at least swaying) in the moonlight as the moon rose over Blackstone Field.  On the riverbank, telescopes, powerful binoculars, and clear conditions made for terrific views of the full moon and planets.  Thank you to the Skyscrapers for sharing their astronomical knowledge along with their telescopes.

The Crepuscular Cowboys serenade the guests and the moon at Blackstone Field on October 9.
The rise of Hunter’s Moon over the Seekonk River didn’t go unnoticed.
