Observing Wildlife During a Break from Rain

On the morning of July 17, when we had a break in the rain, Greg Gerritt led a tour of about 20 people along the shoreline of Blackstone Park with the goal of observing wildlife. We investigated both of the ponds and the cove at the north end of the park and were rewarded with sightings and pictures of two Great Blue Herons, a Black Capped Night Heron, an Egret, and a visit by a rather large snapping turtle.
