The Conservancy’s Summer Concert Series – A Hit!

After a cancelled season the previous year, the in-person concerts, this year, were just what we all needed to lift our spirits.   The series began with students from Classical High.  Their love of music was evident as they performed beautifully under the direction of Allan Raskin.   Returning favorites, Nickel Jukebox, Miss Wensday and Robertico y Su Alebreke with guest Wendy Klein brought joy to the attendees.  The newest group to join the series was Stone Cold Gypsies which performed music of the women of the 70’s for our final concert.  We had a full audience at each concert with familiar and many new faces.  Many thanks to officers Martinous, Gallucci and Scott for keeping the traffic under control which allowed for some dancing on the south side of Blackstone Boulevard.  Thanks to New England Lemonade for providing refreshments on those hot and humid evenings. It was a good feeling to see our community gather on the lawn of the Blackstone Boulevard Trolley Shelter to celebrate the summer.
